Twenty six year-old musician and Santa Maria native Chris Lambert will release his ninth album Saturday, July 26.
Unlike his previous solo work, the new release brings a new band to the Central Coast. The album will be available to the public online at warpandwoof.bandcamp.com, and available through iTunes, Amazon and in stores nationwide.
Self-titled "Warp & Woof," the album features the talents of Lambert, as well as Lompoc's Randall Sena and Sam Cole.
Working closely with Sena, who owns and works as the main engineer of Lompoc's Certain Sparks recording studio, Lambert set out to create a record that encompassed summer, the desert and the exhilaration and trials of driving across America. The album also features contributions from Rachel Mariscal and Ace Elias, members from local pop-punk band Some Might Say.
Lambert was born in Santa Maria and raised on the Central Coast. He has performed local shows and on the stages of the Bakersfield Dome and Whisky a Go-Go. He has also opened his own recording studio.
Lambert works as a full-time musician, and can be found on Facebook and at chrislambert.bandcamp.com.
