CVSC poses after tourney

Santa Maria's Coastal Valley Soccer Club Strikers G03 made the final at the Ventura County Fusion Invitational held in Thousand Oaks this past weekend.

The Strikers won their group stage matches and beat Newbury Park to reach the championship game, which was held Sunday afternoon. They won their group with 21 points, winning two matches and playing to a draw in another, outscoring their opponents 8-3 in the process.

Oxnard PAL won its group stage at 3-0 and with a goal differential of 24-1. 

The tournament consisted of two groups, with each group fielding four teams. The group stage consisted of three matches and the top team in each bracket advanced to championship.
The Strikers won their first match 4-1 and tied their second game 0-0, but won Sunday morning 4-1 to take the group stage. The Strikers then fell short to Oxnard Silver.
