The Predictions for Week Three of the High School Football Season

{{featured_button_text}}

We are picking 16 games this week after 17 were on the slate in Week Two. I had a mediocre week, going 11-6. Elliott Stern and Brian Stanley each went 13-4 to lead the week.

Again, Lompoc's game is a tough one to pick. I went with Bishop Diego last week, and the Braves rolled to a 31-10 over the Cardinals. Lompoc finally has a home game tonight against Arroyo Grande and that again is a toss-up in my mind. Both teams are 2-1 and Lompoc is ranked No. 130 in the state according to MaxPreps while AG comes in at 133.

So that's a tight one. I'm going with a 33-30 win for the Eagles at Huyck.

Of course there are three incredibly promising matchups for Santa Maria Valley teams in Bakersfield. I guess I'm biased, because I'm going with the Santa Maria teams in all three.

The biggest unknown for me in those games is how the teams will respond to the travel and the weather/air in the Valley.

Nipomo has another statement game on deck, playing Bishop Diego in Santa Barbara tonight. The Titans will be 4-0 with a win tonight.
