Hancock track and field clinic

Hancock College will host a track and field clinic for athletes and coaches Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hancock track.

The cost is $10.

Instruction will focus on starting blocks, hurdles, the high jump, the pole vault, the sprints, distance running, the long jump, the shot put, the discus and relays.

Participants can register at 9 a.m. at the Hancock track the day of the clinic. For more information, contact Hancock track coach Louie Quintana at 805-705-3299.  

SYHS needs JV swim coach

Santa Ynez High School is looking for a junior varsity swim coach and a dive coach for the spring season.

Cabrillo coaching openings for track

Cabrillo High School has openings for assistant track and field coaches for the spring season.

Noah Scott Tournament coming 

The third annual Noah Scott Memorial Golf Tournament has been announced for March 24 at the Mission Club in Vandenberg Village. 

The golf outing will be in a shotgun format and registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Tournament play begins at 12:30 p.m. 

There will also be a live and silent auction taking place from 4 to 7 p.m. Live auction will start at 6:30 p.m.
