Orcutt Academy's Eddie Lundberg carries the ball against ACES.

For the second week in a row, an Orcutt Academy player is the winner of the SMT Player of the Week award.

After Darin Miller was voted last week's winner, Eddie Lundberg ran away with a tight race to claim the award this time around.

Lundberg, Orcutt Academy's top running back, received a total of 392 votes across all three of our websites, just edging out St. Joseph's QB Dino Maldonado, who had 339 total votes.

Lundberg had a balanced scoring total as he received 183 total votes at closing time on santamariatimes.com; 108 on lompocrecord.com and 101 on syvnews.com.

The voting edge Lundberg received on santamariatimes.com appeared to make all the difference.

Maldonado had 143 votes on our flagship site, santamariatimes.com; he had 99 on lompocrecord.com and 97 more on syvnews.com.

Maldonado just missed out on winning the award for the third time this season.

Lundberg wins after racking up 113 yards on eight carries with 2 TDs. He also went 3-for-3 on PAT chances.

Maldonado comes up empty-handed after his perfect game against Cabrillo, completing 11 of his 11 passes for 300 yards and 6 TDs.
