Orcutt Academy's Mecaelea Lopez, center, is congratulated by teammates Alexx Ascencio (18), Josie Allen (14) and Taylor Martinez, right, after scoring on a penalty kick in a win over Lompoc last season. The Spartans set a record for wins in a season by beating Templeton Tuesday.

The Orcutt Academy Spartans girls soccer team set a single-season wins record with a 1-0 victory over the league-leading Templeton Eagles in an Ocean League match Tuesday afternoon at Rice Ranch.
