FRESNO — Arroyo Grande senior Luis Jazo ran to a win at the prestigious Clovis Invitational Saturday.
Jazo won the Boys Division 2 race in 15 minutes, 51.9 seconds.
His Arroyo Grande team finished fifth in the 35-team field with 196 points. Another local team in the race, Righetti, finished 34th with 1,034.
Andrew Sweringer (38th place) was the second Arroyo Grande runner home. Teammates following were Spencer Eley (45th), Cooper Limon (55th) and Carter Campbell (62nd) followed.
Fabricio DeLaCruz was the top Righetti runner. He finished 164th. Teammates following were Mariano Murillo (207th), Reid Alford (209th), Juan Marquez (224th) and Noah Ortiz (230th).

VILLA PARK — Daxton Miller made nine saves and Ryan Trenev scored three goals as Righetti edged Temecula Los Osos 11-10 Friday.
Los Osos came in ranked 18th in the CIF Souhtern Section. Six Righetti players scored.
Saturday, Santa Margarita Catholic, the fourth-ranked team in Division 1, defeated Righetti (11-7) 12-7 in another tournament game. Trenev and Layne Porter each scored three times for the Warriors. Miller made 10 saves.
"We were within two ata the end of the third quarter," Rigehtti co-coach Kyle Shaffer said in a text to the Times.
"We were missing two starters . . . Really good effort from the guys to hold it close."
Righetti is 4-0 in the PAC 8 League. The Warriors will resume their league schedule when they play Paso Robles at home at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
