Critter Corner: Mama Hawk has been very busy these days, she must have many babies to feed. We have not seen Papa Hawk but that does not mean he is not around, he just shows up and helps out whenever he can. Mama Hawk still likes our balcony, we are sure she thinks we built it just for her. She also likes the smaller oak tree in our yard, it is still tall enough for her to survey everything and keep hidden. She likes the older and taller oak tree too, but seems to favor the small one for some reason. Guess she gets a better view from it. We still have quail by the hundreds, coming and going all the time. They come in by the dozens, eat, and then in comes the next batch. We are so blessed, and they are so cute. Our little bushtits are also very plentiful. They are little and cute, and love to eat, and we enjoy watching them a lot.
