County fire crews were able to quickly extinguish a small brush fire that started Tuesday night in Solvang.

About 6:08 p.m., Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire at 2016 High Meadow Road in Solvang. Upon arrival, units found a quarter-acre of grass burning.

There were light winds in the area at the time of the incident, according to County Fire Capt. Dave Zaniboni. Crews remained on scene for a few hours mopping up the area.

No structures were immediately threatened, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
