Fire crews responded to two more vegetation fires in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday afternoon. 

Officials began attacking one blaze about two miles west of Chimney Rock Road and Lake Nacimiento Drive shortly before 2 p.m. Dubbed the Hill fire, it burned about 8 acres and was 20 percent contained. Crews attacked the fire with the help of aircraft and are continuing to make a containment line. 

Some firefighters battling the Chimney fire were diverted to the Hill fire.

The cause remains under investigation.

Crews responded to a second fire around 3 p.m. on Lopez Drive, across from Lopez Lake Marina.

Power lines were reported to be blocking access to the blaze at the steep hillside near the fire, according to Cal Fire officials. 

Firefighters successfully halted the spread of the blaze at 3 acres around 4:30 p.m.

The cause of this fire also remains under investigation.
