Teens will have a chance to learn how to decorate cupcakes like a pro at 4 p.m. Friday at the Santa Maria Public Library. All supplies will be provided at no cost.

Library staff decorators will teach tips and tricks, and participants will have the opportunity to decorate themed cupcakes for a contest. Following judging, everyone can eat their creations.

This free program is open only to junior high and high school students.

The library, which is located at 421 S. McClelland St., is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and closed Sunday.
