The annual parade was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, while the holiday festival with music and vendors was planned from 4 to 9 p.m. in the downtown parking lot.
Organizers will meet later today to discuss a tree-lighting ceremony, but there are no plans to reschedule the parade and festival.
"The rain ruined the whole day," said Daniel Rayas, president of the Guadalupe Kiwanis Club.
