Flames from a pickup truck that caught fire on Highway 154 spread to nearby brush, temporarily halting traffic on the roadway, but were doused quickly.
Shortly after 1:20 p.m. Santa Barbara County Fire officials responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road.

The pickup truck that was towing a travel trailer caught on fire, which sparked a 50-by-50 foot spot fire on Highway 154, which fire crews were able to knock down quickly, said County Fire Capt. Dave Zaniboni.
Two passengers were reportedly inside the pickup truck, and were able to get out of the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Traffic was stopped for about 20 minutes before the road was opened again.
