Two men were arrested on the night of February 1 after a Montecito homeowner reported a break-in at his residence. Santa Barbara County sheriff's deputies arrested 25-year-old Frank James Showell, of Lancaster, and 29-year-old Donyae Dixon, of Los Angeles, on burglary and conspiracy charges just after 9 p.m. Response by deputies was initiated after a homeowner called law enforcement, reporting that an unknown individual had entered his residence through a broken window. The homeowner reportedly heard noises coming from a child's bedroom and, upon searching his residence, saw a male suspect in dark clothing standing in the doorway of a room where his daughter normally naps during the day. The homeowner shouted at the suspect, who, in turn, fled the house through a window used to grain entrance. Upon searching the area, deputies located an individual matching Showell's description attempting to flee the area in a vehicle. Deputies conducted an enforcement stop on the vehicle and quickly detained Showell.
