A 1928 Model A stolen from its 98-year-old owner was recovered Friday in Nipomo, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Gasper Gonzales, 38, of Nipomo, was arrested during a Feb. 8 joint operation conducted by the San Luis Obsipo County Gang Task Force and the county's Auto Theft Task Force, a team comprised of CHP and San Luis Obispo County sheriff's officers.
CHP Officer Mike Poelking said law enforcement determined the truck's location after learning it was being sold. Poelking said the truck, which the owner has possessed for more than 40 years, was taken during a recent residential burglary.
Gonzales was arrested and later booked on charges relating to the unauthorized taking or stealing of the vehicle.
