The Lucia Mar Unified School District has board approved schematic plans and Phillips Metsch Sweeney Moore Architects were granted approval on a contract to complete the designs for a new 10,500-square-foot, multi-use building on the campus of Paulding Middle School in Arroyo Grande.
PMSM Architects/ Jim Moore will serve as principal architect and Fred Sweeney will be the principal designer and Debra Smith will be the project manager.
Estimated construction cost is ,1.9 million.

American Medical Response has added Cristin Senior to its staff as an emergency medical technician.
The Lompoc native was raised in Santa Maria and graduated from Righetti High. He earned EMT and fire technician training at Hancock College. Prior to joining AMR, Senior spent two years with the Orcutt Fire Department as a volunteer. He continues to serve as a volunteer.
The Buellton-based AMR operates more than 25 emergency and non-emergency vehicles in the county and employs 100. In 2000, AMR responded to more than 20,000 requests for ambulance or emergency services and transported more than 16,000 patients.
