Sparkie is visiting a 159-acre regional park in southern San Luis Obispo County. It has an off-leash dog park separated into two areas filled with dirt and wood chips. One tree provides shade in one of the areas.

There are three play structures for children, a football and soccer field, four softball diamonds, four tennis courts, sand volleyball, horseshoes, numerous picnic areas and a gazebo. There is a lot of well-maintained turf, but it could use more trees providing shade on a hot day.

Dana School is located to the south, and it is surrounded by residences.
