Sunny Kay (Middleton) Cowger, 84, of Odin, Illinois, formerly of Santa Maria passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021.
She was born on July 18, 1936, in Binger, Oklahoma, the daughter of Fadrel and Carney Baggett and Curtis Middleton. She married Dick Cowger in 1959 and they later divorced.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: daughter Kathy (Ray) Albert of Odin, Illinois; sons Robert (Monica) Cowger of Santa Maria; and Michael (Diane) Cowger of Pismo Beach. Also surviving are grandchildren Bobby, Ray III (Mandy), Kyle, Carabeth, Jake, Austin and Courtney Kay and great-grandchildren, Lana Rose, Arnoni, Addison and one on the way. She is also survived by a brother, Bob Baggett of Madera.
Sunny was an avid bowler, enjoyed going to the casino, vacationing, cheering for her beloved Dallas Cowboys and she was a huge Dale Sr. fan. She retired from Bank of America in 1998 and moved to Illinois in 2006. Her sweet smile, sharp wit and truthful advice will definitely be missed by all that loved her.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
