She taught Sunday School there all the years she resided in Santa Maria. She also held Good News Clubs from her home for many years.
In 1973, She and Leeland moved to Carpinteria. They both attended and were charter members of the Carpinteria Valley Baptist Church. She continued teaching Sunday School there, until she turned 80 years of age.
