Nemesia T. Ramelb
Nemesia Acosta Tungpalan Ramelb, 91, of Santa Maria, CA peacefully went home to the Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Nemesia was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on December 19, 1925. She moved to Santa Barbara County in 1975, when she was 49 years old. Prior to retirement, she was a share cropper with her husband by Santa Maria Strawberry farms, and employed with JR Simplot Foods Company for many years.
Nemesia loved life with her husband, her children and grandchildren. She loved sewing. Harvesting home grown vegetables and gathering fruits from the backyard was a daily and delightful routine. She traveled and vacationed to where her children went and resided. She was full of wisdom, compassion, and patience.
Nemesia is survived by her 10 children and 22 grandchildren; son Romeo Ramelb (Nina) of Hawaii and grandchildren Sherri, Liza and Jenny; daughter Francesca Lorenzo (Dario) of Florida and grandchildren Jayson and Rhyan; Vic Ramelb of CA and grandchildren Sheila of Spain and Sherri Lynn of WA; daughter Concesa Wychico (Louie) of CA and grandchildren Francess Anne, Albert, Joseph and Ashley; daughter Nerie Rivera (Bobby) of Texas; son Phil Ramelb (Linda) of CA, daughter Marvie Ramelb-San Antonio of FL and grandchildren Lani of Abu Dhabi, Kelsey and Bryan of FL: daughter Vilma Dolores (Simeon) and grandchildren Justin and Caiti of CA, son George Ramelb (Jasmine) and grandchildren Ariston James, Adryn, and Alyssa of CA; and daughter Rosana Cacao (Edgar) and grandchildren Cassandra, Emily and Madeline of CA. Nemesia is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, sister in-law Rosita Tungpalan with many nieces and nephews in Hawaii, CA, FL and cousins in Loma Linda, CA. Nemesia was preceded in death by her husband Jose Rivera Ramelb, her parents Higinio and Maria Tungpalan, brother Bruno Tungpalan, and granddaughter Leah Mae Lorenzo Tucker.
Funeral mass to be held on Monday, February 27 at 9:30am, St. Mary's of the Assumption Church. Interment immediately follows at the Santa Maria Cemetery.
