Murphy Patrick McNeil
Murphy Patrick McNeil passed February 1, 2017. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to everyone who knew him. He was a happy boy who enjoyed every moment of life.
He came into the world June 3, 2004 in Sacramento, CA earlier than expected, but welcomed by a family ready to love him. He was happiest being with his family and was the leader within his cousins, despite being one of the youngest. He will be remembered as a friend to all ages.
Murphy was a one-of-a-kind guy. There wasn't a sport he wouldn't try or a kid who wasn't a friend. He has been involved in Ramtown Karate, Dixon Youth Soccer, Dixon Little League, Dixon Youth Basketball, Maine Prairie 4-H, Dixon Crossfit ASAP Dixon and Solo Rugby Club.
From the time he started walking, he never stopped moving. He was fearless. He loved the Skate Park at Hall Park and was forever perfecting his moves. He had a knack for building things and was curious about the way things worked.
Favorite family memories include summer trips to Donner Lake, hunting, riding ATVs and dirt bikes, Camp Woodward Skate Park, rolling in the sand dunes at Bodega Bay and waking up early with his Dad to find a new skate park. He was a Tech Deck entrepreneur, an entertainer and he loved an audience.
He is forever in the hearts of his parents Jake and Molly McNeil, sister Abby McNeil, grandparents Tim and Marcia Gallagher, all of Dixon, CA; grandparents Rex and Linda McNeil of Arroyo Grande, CA and Beatrice Jones of Peyton, CO, formerly of Sisquoc, CA; aunties and uncles Matt and Katie Lydon of Vacaville, CA, Clancy and Darlene Gallagher of Sacramento, CA, Dan and Cristina Gallagher of Lincoln, CA, John McNeil of Salinas, CA, Richard and Becky Hibbard of Marysville, CA and Kyle and Kim McNeil of Arroyo Grande, CA; cousins Dempsey, Delaney, Kennedy, Luke, Sophia, Isabella, Olivia, Charlotte and Matthew. He had extended family and friends everywhere who will forever remember his freckles and smile. He will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
Murphy's family wants his memory to be one of friendship, kindness and happiness. A "buddy bench" is planned for the Hall Park Skate Park and a memorial account has been started in his name. Donations can be made at any First Northern Bank or through www.gofundme.com/murphymcneil. More information can also be found at www.welovemurphy.com.

Friends and family of all ages are encouraged to wear "Murphy-styled" sportswear, jerseys, aloha wear or anything else that would make Murph smile.
