Elfie Mae Morgan passed away peacefully on December 28, 2018. Born on Feb 2, 1937 she was raised in Great Falls, Montana and also lived for a while on a farm near Hamilton, Montana. She attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana where she met her husband, Harold, and earned an elementary teaching credential. She taught 1st grade in Montana for 4 years before moving to Santa Maria, CA in 1964. There, she raised two children and kept busy working as a substitute teacher, running the family business, Dive West Sports, and teaching Sunday school for over 38 years at Saint Andrew United Methodist Church. Hobbies included gardening, baking, drawing, painting, sewing, and playing the piano. Her faith, family, and friends were most important to her. Humble and caring, she was kind to everyone she met. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Morgan, daughter Cynthia (Bill) Wilson of Bakersfield, son David (Beth) Morgan of Santa Maria, sister Marian (Gene) Masters of Florida, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Carol Kuich and Arlene Johnson, both of Seattle, WA.
A memorial service followed by a reception will take place on Saturday January 12 at 11:00 am at Saint Andrew United Methodist Church located at 3945 S. Bradley Rd, Santa Maria, CA 93455. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Andrew United Methodist Church.
