Tom Segura, stand-up comedian and podcast host, is coming to the stage of the Chumash Casino Resort’s Samala Showroom at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.
Segura is best-known for his Netflix comedy specials “Completely Normal,” (2014) “Mostly Stories,” (2016) and “Disgraceful” (2018). He’s made multiple stand-up appearances on Comedy Central and has been seen on well-known television series, including “Conan,” “Workaholics,” “Happy Endings,” “The Late Late Show” and “How To Be A Grown Up.”
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Segura grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and later Vero Beach, Florida. He has been performing as a comedian since shortly after he graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.
In his early career, Segura received praise for his stand-up albums “Thrilled” (2010) and “White Girls with Cornrows” (2012). They both debuted at No. 1 and continue to play heavily on satellite radio and streaming music platforms.
In 2010, he started the podcast, “Your Mom’s House,” which he co-hosts with his wife and fellow comedian, Christina Pazsitzky. In 2012, the podcast was a finalist for Best Comedy Podcast at the Stitcher Awards and was profiled by VICE.
Throughout his career, he has made multiple appearances on SiriusXM radio comedy channels and has been a regular guest on some of the most downloaded podcasts in the world of comedy, such as “The Joe Rogan Experience” and “WTF with Marc Maron.”
He has performed at the top comedy festivals in the world, including Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Comedy Festival - Las Vegas, The South Beach Comedy Festival and The Hong Kong Comedy Festival.
