California’s Central Coast continues to lead the way on pursuing Net Zero, sustainable communities. The role of the built environment in creating these communities is more critical than ever. As Title 24 Energy Standards move closer toward ZNE in 2020 for residential and 2030 for non-residential, local energy professionals came together to develop this Zero Net Energy Series. The goals of this series are to keep our design and construction industry ahead of the curve and share cost-effective strategies and innovative solutions for creating ZNE buildings right now.

The Central Coast Chapters of the AIA and the US Green Building Council proudly presents the Zero Net Energy Workshop Series in conjunction with Allen Construction and In Balance Green Consulting. This 4-part educational program, starting Tuesday, January 9 and continuing on the second Tuesday of the month through April, is created for architects, designers, builders, engineers, educators, inspectors, developers and any others in the residential and non-residential building trades who are interested in creating Zero Net Energy Buildings. The series will cover how to design for Zero Net Energy including new technologies, "Top 10" strategies, practical approaches, and more.
