Details for VTC ENTERPRISES - Ad from 2019-11-03

Volunteer at VtC enterprises! We are grateful to the people and organizations who volunteer their time and resources to teach new skills and offer fresh experiences to the individuals at VTC. We so value their involvement with us! Thank you to the Ian M. Hassett Foundation for providing high quality, inspiring art classes taught by local working artists; to Love on a Leash Central Coast for bringing the kind of love, acceptance and wordless communication unique to dogs; to Christopher L. Diaz, Professor of Music at Allan Hancock College, for bringing the gift of musical expression through voice and percussion instruction; and to the countless supporters who have helped us with events and fundraising. Would you like to join our team of volunteers too? Just a bit of your time can improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in our community. It takes a lot to keep things humming along at VTC, and there are a variety of ways your time and experience would be much appreciated. Whether behind the scenes or face-to-face, all of these volunteer opportunities are important to our mission of assisting the individuals we serve in meeting their life goals. Both groups and individual volunteers are welcome! Please contact us if any of the following areas of need would be of interest to you! Help with the upkeep of our facilities, vehicles and equipment: • Paint and patch touch-ups • Minor repairs • Weeding/planting/caring for garden areas • Cleaning classrooms and training spaces • Small engine repair/tune ups • Vehicle detailing/cleaning Assist individuals with enrichment activities: • Swim class • Music class • Art class • Individualized community based activities • Exercise program in Lompoc • Computer lab Offer other skills and talents: • Thrift store merchandising • Greeters (Customer Service) • Fundraising events (Golf Tournament, Elks Rodeo Queen Campaign, Open House, Parade, Spring Fling)
