Final results confirmed late Thursday night that the Cabrillo girls and Lompoc boys cemented their league titles with wins at the Los Padres League Track and Field finals at Santa Maria High School that evening.
Both teams were unbeaten in LPL duals. The Cabrillo girls won Thursday night with 178 points. Lompoc was second with 101.5. The Lompoc boys won with 176.5 points to second-place Cabrillo's 146.5.
The girls and boys triple jump events were the last to finish Thursday night. Natalia Tulloch of Cabrillo won the girls triple jump with a best of 37 feet, 4 inches. Lompoc's Casidy Cunningham was second at 35-11 and Casidy's teammate, Erin Gracyk, was third at 34-9.75.
Lompoc scored a 1-2-3 sweep in the boys triple jump. Kameron Davis won at 43-3, Zion Harris was second at 42-10.25, and Danny Eksturn placed third at 39-10.75.
The top three finishers in each event medaled.
