Pending further notice, with the exception of the Santa Maria Holiday Basketball Tournament, most Los Padres League teams in all winter sports are done playing until 2018.

The Thomas Fire has caused poor air quality in southern Santa Barbara County and Ventura County. Thus, LPL teams will not travel to those areas for tournaments.

The Santa Maria Holiday tourney is set for Dec. 26.

Other than that, unless LPL teams can round up some non-league games between now and the first of the year, the earliest any LPL team will likely play is Jan. 2. That is when league play will begin for the league's boys and girls basketball and soccer teams.

League play was to begin with two games for each team this week, but league officials nixed that because of the Thomas Fire.

Here is a rundown of when play is scheduled to resume for LPL teams.
