The Righetti baseball team suffered its first loss of the year Saturday. However, the Warriors also won again.

Righetti (3-1) split a doubleheader with Reno (Nevada) Galena, losing the first game 1-0 and winning the second 6-0.

Galena won the opener with a run in the sixth. THe Warriors had a total of just three hits against two Galena pitchers.

Ryan Delgado, Justin Glaser and Sutton Tompkins combined on a two-hitter for Righetti in the second game. Delgado, the starter, pitched into the fifth inning.

Righetti will play Visalia Redwood at 7 p.m. Friday night in another non-league game. The Warriors, who shared the PAC 8 League championship and made it to the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship game in 2017, will open PAC 8 play March 20 when they host Arroyo Grande at 4:30 p.m.

College softball (Friday)

Pasadena 8, Hancock 6

The Bulldogs (12-5-1) hit three home runs, but their late rally against the Lancers (8-9) fell short in this non-conference game at Hancock.

Boys tennis (Thursday)

Arroyo Grande 16, St. Joseph 2

The Eagles (3-1, 3-0) won a PAC 8 League match against the Knights. No details were available.
