AG Earns title shot

In the final elimination game of the Babe Ruth 14-year old state playoffs, Arroyo Grande scored twice in the top of the first. Central answered back with four in the bottom of the inning.

Arroyo Grande scored runs in each of the next three innings but Central had no more answers. Arroyo Grande moved into the championship game with a rousing 15-4 romp over Central at Elks Field Wednesday night.

Undefeated San Benito awaits Arroyo Grande. The teams face off this afternoon at 2 p.m. on Morrison Field in Orcutt. If Arroyo Grande wins the 2 p.m. game, then a second game will follow at 5 p.m.
