The Casa dei Bambini Montessori float rolls down Broadway on Saturday night during the Santa Maria Parade of Lights . The float won first prize for the Best Use of Lights, All Other Entries category.

The 2012 Christmas Parade of Lights winners were:

• Grand Prize ($600) — Cub Scout Pack 93

• Best Use of Lights, Commercial — Michael B. Clayton & Associates, first place ($200); and U.P.S, second place ($100)

• Best Use of Lights, Religious — St. Mary of the Assumption School, first place ($200); and House of Faith, second place ($100)

• Best Use of Lights - Youth Nonprofit Groups — Adobe Nipomo 4-H, first place ($200); and Cultural Homestay International, second place ($100)

• Best Use of Lights - Non-Youth Nonprofit Groups — Santa Maria Elks Lodge 1538 and Santa Maria Elks Clowns, first place ($200); and American Legion Riders Orcutt Chapter 534/District 16, second place ($100)

• Best Band — Pioneer Valley High School Marching Band, first place ($200); and Santa Maria High Cheer and Santa Maria High School Saints Band, second place ($100).

• Best Marching Group — Righetti High Thunder Drumline and Dance Team, first place ($200); and VAFB Jets Gymnastics Team, second place ($100)

• Best Use of Lights - All Other Entries — Casa dei Bambini Montessori, first place ($200); and Marine Corps League Coastal Valley’s Detachment , second place ($100)

A review of judging results Sunday morning led to a revision for the Best Use of Lights, Religious category. The previous announced winners for that category — Los Amigos 4-H, and Centro Cristiano De Evangelismo — will still be recognized, parade organizers said.
