A Santa Maria man who allegedly hit a pedestrian, kidnapped a 3-year-old and led police on a pursuit was arrested on multiple charges Saturday.

Just after 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a traffic collision in the 800 block of West Las Flores Way in Santa Maria. On the way to the scene, witnesses reported that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian and fled.
