The city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is joining with local law enforcement officers to offer a free trip to The Shack paintball field in Santa Maria on Saturday. Teenagers in grades seven through 12 will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St., and spend the day at The Shack.

Space is limited. Registration packets are available at the Maldonado center and must be submitted by Thursday.

The trip will be chaperoned by three local law enforcement officers and will provide the opportunity to have fun while motivating and encouraging a positive relationship between law enforcement and teens, officials said.

For more information, call the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center at 925-0951, ext. 252.
