Rotary Club donates to Arroyo Grande, Nipomo high school music programs

The proceeds from the Arroyo Grande Rotary's 2016 Christmas and Holiday Sing-Along were donated to the Arroyo Grande and Nipomo high school music departments at the club's Nov. 2 meeting.

A total of $700 was divided between the two music programs.

Raynee Daley, superintendent of the Lucia Mar Unified School District, accepted the check for Arroyo Grande High and Kim Youngblood, band director, for Nipomo High.

The Rotary Club will present its 10th annual sing-along at 4 p.m. Dec. 17 in the Clark Center. Net proceeds will be donated to the music and arts programs of several regional schools and performance groups.

Tickets, which are $12 for adults and $6 for children and students, are available at the box office, 487 Fair Oaks Ave. in Arroyo Grande, by phone at 805-489-9444 or online at www.clarkcenter.org. Special family discount pricing (in advance only at the box office) allows three to five family members to attend for only $30.

Theatergoers are urged to get tickets early, as a sellout is expected.
