Altrusa presents $1,500 to Santa Maria Philharmonic Society

Altrusa International Foundation Santa Maria Inc. has awarded more than $19,000 in fall 2017 grants.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Maria Valley received three grants for Healthy Habits, Guadalupe Gym Refurbishment and Evans Park Fountain.

Other recipients were AAWU Tech Trek Camp; Children’s Resources and Referral Services Book and Toys; Community Partners in Caring Printer Cartridges; CASA Birthday Gift Cards; North County Rape Crisis Education Program; Patterson School PTA Reading Program; P.L.A.Y. Celebration of Life; Santa Maria Discovery Museum Bilingual Books; Elks Mini Rodeo Program; Elks Rodeo Camp Buckaroo; Santa Maria Philharmonic Society Youth Outreach; Santa Barbara County Education Office Teacher’s Network; and Taylor Elementary School, which received two grants, one for Autism Spectrum and another for iPads.

Literacy, child care, programs for people with disabilities, seniors and other causes have benefited from over $600,000 from the Altrusa International Foundation Santa Maria Inc. since its inception in 1992.
