The Bonita 4-H Club held our Classic Potluck at the Nov. 13 meeting, which was enjoyed by everyone.

New members were recognized and told the group their hobbies and what they hope to learn from 4-H.

Project sign-ups were talked about and members were encouraged to join.

The club made cards for the military and also Christmas cards for a Jacob Thompson, who is a cancer patient.

Everyone donated to the club's canned food drive and we broke our record of donated canned goods with 178 pounds collected.

This month, we're having a Christmas toy drive for our local charity.

We will also be having a All-American Cookie Raid. At this event, members bring a plate of home-cooked cookies to the group meeting, which are auctioned off to help raise money for the club and projects.

Our float will be part of the 56th annual Orcutt Christmas Parade.

The next 4-H meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at at Joe Nightingale Elementary School, 255 Winter Road in Santa Maria.
