Larry Letters was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 16th 1936. He was one of 8 children.
Larry was an Advertising Executive for the Los Angeles Times for 29 years after serving as an Honor Guard in the Army in South Korea. In 1990 Larry moved to Santa Maria where he purchased the Santa Maria Car Wash. In addition to being a great business man, he was active in many social organizations. He served as President of the Noon Time Rotary Club, as well as President of the Allan Hancock Foundation. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, rooting for the Dodgers and loving on his grandkids.
He is survived by his bride of 47 years, Maryke, his children John, Thea and husband Bob, and 5 grandchildren, as well as a brother and sister.
Larry died peacefully at home on Feb. 8th. He will be greatly missed but we rest assured he is safe in the Hands of His Savior Jesus!
