The Allan Hancock College Jazz Band will perform their Annual Winter Concert on Thursday evening, December 7th, 2017 at 7:00PM. The concert will feature an eclectic mix of arrangements including: Birdland, Route 66, The Way We Were, Almost Like Being In Love, Blue Monk, What A Wonderful World, Cold Duck Time, Feeling Good, A Few Good Men, Blue Skies, Besame Mucho, and as always, an encore.
The group, led by Mr. Chuck Osborne, has been performing on the Central Coast for many, many years. The band, composed of AHC students and other members of the community enrolled under the Community Education program, features 20+ musicians in a standard “swing" or "jazz band” style configuration with two female vocalists, ANGELIQUE BODINE (flute) and RACHEL KYDD (trumpet), and male vocalist CHRIS EDWARDS (trumpet). The concert is performed in a church with very comfortable seating and plenty of free parking.
There are no advanced sales of tickets, and there is no admission charge for this event.
Donations will be accepted to help with the purchase of new music for the group.
