Nationally acclaimed SLO County artist Anita Hampton, back from an extended sabbatical spent studying the connection between the brain and the creative process  will be teaching a 3-day workshop combining the essence of perceptual painting as it affects the individual artist.  This academic based workshop blends the fundamentals of composition while focusing on the elements of design as it relates to the artist’s perceptions and emotional experience. Instructional goals are designed to help the artist express and achieve their individual voice on canvas. Exercises to shorten the learning curve are shared to help and encourage the painter’s ability to reach higher levels of success while enjoying the art of painting. (Indoor, outdoor and demonstration painting will be conducted.) Primarily designed for painters seeking a re-charge,  “jump-start” or refresher or new perspective.  Not recommended for a beginning student. 3 days.  9am to 4:00pm. Daily critiques given at 3:00pm. Nov. 10.11 and 12. $375
