Colorful and elegant dresses, enchanting costumes, intriguing masks, models from all over Europe….. all were in Venice, Italy, for Carnevale 2016. Peggy Jansson and Cheryl Strahl were there to capture it all.

Centered on the ancient origins of Venice, Carnevale suggests mysteries and artistry of times gone by. Join Peggy and Cheryl as they share their alluring images of costumed artisans posing in the misty Piazza San Marco, in a traditional gondola, in a 15th century palace, and on the Venetian island of Borano. The beauty and craftsmanship involved in this event is truly impressive.

Close out 2017 with their breathtaking photography — Carnevale will be on view in SLOMA's McMeen Gallery December 1 to December 31, 2017.

Saturday, December 2 at 2 PM: ARTalk and gallery tour with Peggy Jansson and Cheryl Strahl. Followed by opening reception, 3–5 PM. Free and open to the public.
