Center for Nonprofits plans Chamber mixer

The Community Cornerstone Center for Nonprofits will host their July Chamber Mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the center's office at 120 E. Jones St. in Santa Maria.

The public is invited to attend and celebrate “the partnerships and friendships that have been established between ... the center's nonprofit organizational tenants ... (and) local government, businesses, grantors and patrons,” according to a June 30 press release from event organizers.

The event will include appetizers, wine tasting from four Santa Maria Valley wineries (Costa de Oro, Cottonwood Canyon, Rancho Sisquoc and Riverbench), live music and several door prizes.

Limited parking is available on the street, as well as in the new parking structure on South McClelland (behind the library). Guests are asked to respect the private parking lots of local restaurants and businesses.

“Come on out and discover what the Santa Barbara Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Barbara County, Nonprofit Support Center, Santa Maria Philharmonic Society, CASA and The Fund for Santa Barbara have in common,” suggested George J. Majoue, executive director of the Santa Maria Philharmonic Society.
