In the past three weeks, the Central Coast St. Jude Dream Home house has gone from dream to reality as construction on the house has begun.
Flatley Homes is coordinating construction on the $350,000 house in its Celebration subdivision off Miller Street and Betteravia Road in Santa Maria.
“Our network of subcontractors and suppliers have really embraced the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and come together by donating their materials and labor,” said Terry Flatley Jr., who is overseeing the project. “The building industry does not often have unique opportunities to give back to the community, so the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway has been a great way mobilize our teams behind such an important cause.”
Cal Coast Plumbing, Heritage Concrete, J&S Lumber, Luker Framing, Radco Exteriors, and Truss Pro are among the local businesses who have donated their materials and services to the construction efforts.
In addition to the house, 19 other prizes will be given away. These prizes include a home theater package courtesy of Audio Video City, a diamond pendant necklace from CB Hood Diamond Co., a connoisseur wine experience at Addamo Vineyards, an entire baby room furniture set from Johnson's for Children and many more.
